Hello everyone,
I went with my BMs to try on dresses on Friday and in the shop I went to, they had one of every Dessy style in one of every colour. Before we went, I had envisaged sea-green/mint or bright purple as colour schemes.
I picked out a dress for one of them to try on (they're having different dresses in the same colour and fabric - you'll see both below) and it happened to be in a bright coral/flame colour. Here it is, although the photo makes it look a little bit too pink...
Bridesmaid dresses in Cherry
This colour looks amazing on both of them, depite one having black hair and one having blonde. It looks amazing next to my diamond-white dress and it suits me too. I have a couple of tops in this colour and a few nail varnishes but had never considered it as a wedding colour. I was dead against pink or orange but this colour is neither, really.
The trouble is, what colour will it go with? I held it up next to every other dress and the only one it seemed to completely go with was grey, both dark grey and dove grey. It doesn't seem to match anything else, as it's so vibrant on it's own. I'm worried it won't match anything else, it's too unusual and it is nothing like I imagined having. I could change the colour but as one of my BMs said, the dress wouldn't be as fabulous in any other colour and Dessy didn't have any other summery colours that suited them both that we all liked. Confused.com!
Does anyone have any opinions or ideas? Thank you!! x

the charcoal grey that comes up with the palette looks great with it how about a charcoal grey suit for h2b etc with silver waistoats, white shirts and the same colour caravat/tie as your bm dresses
then your flowers you could have white roses with the diamontes in them and i'm sure you can get gerbrias (sorry about the spellings) in that colour of your bms dresses aswell (depending on if you want real or silk)
then for centrepieces how about the same flowers as your boquets in a nice vase or on ebay you should be able to find balloons in that color so do a bunch with 1 silver,1 of the coral color and 1 white?
and any cakemaker will be able to incorporate that color into your cake design and then to tie it all in try 2 get some ribbon in that colour to (for favor boxes etc)
hope this helps x

Ahh, thanks girls - I really appreciate your thoughts and ideas!
Seems like shades of grey, silver or white is the way forward. I hadn't really thought about all-white but just been looking on some wedding blogs and seen some amazing pics.
Lesley - you had some great ideas - thank you! I especially like the one about the flowers with diamonds!
You've all made me feel better about it so thanks again x
