Hello Ladies....as my wedding date is tbc - i'm just throwing ideas around at the moment.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE gerberas so wanting them to be my main flowers....i'm just not wanting a hugely floral theme.
I think we will be looking at a may/june wedding. I have a few ideas but obvisouly in the very early stages so just wanting some alternate suggestions...
TIA Kirsty xx

I had white gerberas for my bouquet and table decorations, and germinis for the button holes.
I love gerberas, so there was no alternative for me.

I love your table dec!
Sorry I didn't mean an alternative flower I meant something I could incorporate alongside it to add to my theme..

My bouquet was just gerberas - big bright orange ones (you can see it in my avatar) with some brown bear grasses, and hubs had a matching orange gerbera buttonhole. The other buttonholes were cream eye gerberas, but those were the only flowers we had. Our table centres were hurrican lanterns with brown and orange candles (those were our colours) so it all worked together but wasn't very floral iykwim. Floating gerbera heads in bowls of water with floating candles might be a pretty summer version?

If you want something else for table decorations so there aren't flowers everywhere (I think that's what you mean

There is so much choice when it comes to Gerberas, is there a colour that they don't come in?! I like the idea of having the centerpieces as glass bowls filled with water and having a couple of them floating on the surface, as it's not a big floral display.
You can get them in so many vivid colours that I'd personally say go for a bright colour scheme as opposed to pastel.

We're having the white Gerberas with the black middle cos we're having a black & white theme.
My bouquet is Gerberas & Ivory roses (to tie in with the buttonholes), and BM's will just have Gerberas. There will be some greenery, and black beads on wire in there too.
Our centrepieces are fishbowls with a big light at the bottom, and 3 gerberas in there just 'peeking' over the top.
I wanted Peony's but wedding is late sept so they're out of season.
HTH?

Hi Gerberas are perfect if you don't want anything too flowery, i think they look great just on their own i wouldn't bother mixing them with anything, also the wedding stationary gallery do lots of stationary with gerberas on them so you could kind of have it as a theme running through your day
