Due to circumstances out of my control I have had to pay out for something that was not planned for so the wedding budget has been cut slightly and we have to loose some things.

In light of this I wondered if I could save money by making my own "flower accessories". I have decided to lose favours as well as simply cannot afford this. I was thinking of making a wrist corsage for my BM, fairy wands for the flower girls, a simple bouquet for me and button holes for the men and moms & nans... I want to use silk flowers and peacock feathers.

Has anyone got any tips please smile.gif

hiya your best bet would be to have a look at some pics of some 2 get an idea but its basically florist wire and floristry tape (maybe u could get these on ebay?)

for an idea how about 1 peacock feather and 1 flower put the flower in front of the feather then put a length of florist wire say the length of the stem of the flower then wrap the florist tape around all of the stem and the wire 2 secure it then hey presto theres ur buttonhole!

basically use the same sort of principal for ur bouquet to make a posy, nd your wand except try 2 get a color tape to match ur theme.

but the corsarges are a bit more complicated .... depending on ur colour scheme how about looking in primark, claires accessories all shops like that and buy 1 then sthith some feathers on to it behind the flower?

not sure if this is any help but i noticed that no 1 had replied and didnt want to read and run
let me know how they go xxx

ooohhh btw you can get really nice silk flowers in hobby craft i think there about £3 a bunch (dont hold me 2 that lol)

or theres a shop on ebay that do really cheap but nice bouquets i dont no how to link things on here but the shops called "fairytale florist" buttonholes are £1.20 a small posy etc are about £8 and u can get a nice teardrop bouquet for £15-£18.
