Hi

I'm trying to get together ideas for my wedding and I'm kinda stuck on a theme. If we choose a seaside venue (a possibility as I'm in south Wales!) then I'd like to do a beach theme but a lot of the venues iv looked at are in the country so got a big ole blank canvas! My favourite colours are purple and green and I really like them together - everyone I know thinks this is weird but I had my bedroom decorated in these colours by accident as a teenager and loved it!

Don't really think they would go with a beach theme and since my big day is ages away I'd like to try some more ideas. Thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone had any good ideas, originality very welcome biggrin.gif

thanks
mel

It does sound odd but the right combination of shades of purple and green I think would look stunning. I know this might sound even more odd blink.gif but I'd say go to B&Q and pick up some colour charts, mix and match until you find the right ones! Then at least you've got a good starting point.

To be honest I think that if you're having both purple and green then adding a beach theme on top of that might be too much. Also if you're getting married by the sea will you really need a beach theme as it's right on your doorstep?

Yeah purple doesnt really match the beach theme i dont think...although i think the purple and green could look lovely. Why not just go with the colour theme? That way you arn't limited to anything as those colours may be difficult to get a hold of depending on the time of year your looking for it...i.e purple is wintery colour and green spring summer.

yea kinda thinking the beach theme is out

just trying to find something that could tie the 2 colours together nicely. quite like lavender so suppose i could bring a country theme with lavender as flowers - would have a lovely smelling reception then biggrin.gif it would be nice, and maybe fairies coz i do quite like fantasy sort of things and am really into my fiction books

but i really like oriental things too - orchids and bamboo maybe? but could get too into it and make it look cheesey as i am know to get a bit ott when i like things!!

anybody else got any ideas what could bring the 2 together??
