Hi, I'm looking for ideas for a Cinderella/Disney themed wedding. I don't want it to be OTT and childish though. I have been making notes of ideas and suppliers but would love to hear from anyone having or have had a similar themed wedding.

we had hints of disney in our wedding as its where my hubby proposed and where we went on our honeymoon. We named the tables famous disney couples. Here's a picture of one of our tables names

what about disney music being played but not with the words?
tables named after movies/characters?
have a logo of the castle printed on the invites under the words?
(and on any other stationary)
children could be given a disney gift pack?
disney cookies as favours?

Hi,

I was a Florida bride almost 3 years ago (no idea where that time has gone) smile.gif
We had touches of disney for our wedding.

We also do lots of pretty princessy bits and pieces on our website.
Contact me if you like for any ideas.

Hey, have you had a look at the wedding ideas shop, some lovely fairy tale inspired goodies there, i love the cinderella castle candle favours, would be lovely table decs too, also lovely, happily ever after ring cushions etc and stickers for your invite envelopes. We are having a bit of disney in our wedding, "can you feel the love tonight" orchestra version (no words) as my aisle song and ever ever after from enchanted as our exit song (coz i love it and for a bit of fun) x

I've seen some beauitful Cindrella invites here:

I was hoping that H2B would propose in Disneyland Paris as it's my favourite place on earth but alas no! He did redeem himself though and I loved how he did do it

I cam imagine you couldn't with all the butterflies! Awww how special smile.gif

Kane eventually got round to it on my 21st birthday. He had apparantly wanted to take me out for dinner and do it with just the two of us but I'm really family orientated so I wanted a family meal. In total there were 11 of us including both sets of parents there. After dessert he he piped up with the usual "we've been together a long time" and I knew what was coming. He got so nervous that he couldn't talk and after what seemed like ages he produced the ring along with a card. He'd told me in the morning that he'd forgotten to get me a card (not the first time rolleyes.gif ) but he'd actually bought me one with Fiancee on it! It was lovely having the whole family involved and everyone had known about it and they all produced happy engagement cards!

It wasn't the Cinderella castle but I soon forgave him!

I was MOH for my best friend last year and they had a Disney themed wedding. Things they did:-

Disney invites (pic of Disney castle on front and used Disney font)
Disney orders of service (more pics)
Fairy castle cake topper
Song from Beauty and the Beast while they signed the register (tune only, lyrics would have been a bit offensive to her hubby ha ha!)
Tables named after Disney Couples - Ariel and Eric etc. Her hubby is a great artist so he did a table plan with all Disney characters drawn on
Disney CD instrumental playing during wedding breakfast

Just a few details, wasn't OTT at all, I was actually v impressed with how classy they had made it. Good luck x

Laurz x

I suggested to h2b that we have the tables names as the different lands (we've never been able to go to Orlando so it would just be the Paris one) but he wasn't keen. When I first said that you can name the tables and asked him for suggestions he said 'oooh I know' so I got all excited that he'd thought of something good as I'm pretty stumped and he said 'we can name them after numbers, like one, two etc' I was not impressed!! rolleyes.gif
