Hi Ladies smile.gif

I'm new here (tho not new to the wedding malarky!!), so if I ramble on just slap me!

I'm having a silver dress and my BMs are having shades of purple. My cake will be purples and silver, but I'm not going to go mad with a purple and Silver theme - just the flowers really,

Anyhow....this is where it starts to get worrying.

My H2B is wearing a kilt, he's Scottish, I'm English. But he has a specific tartan in mind, and there is not even a hint of silver or purple in it! I've seen so many pictures of weddings where everything matches........does it matter hugely if it doesn't? His kilt is dark colours so it's not as if he's wearing lime green or anything, but still.......well you know what I mean!!

Any comments are really appreciated!!

Oh and Hi too smile.gif

hi

i dont think it would matter, could you get him to wear silver hints (sporron etc) if you really want to tie him in!

my H2B is wearing a nehru suit and the grooms men will prob wearing their own suits so they wont match, as long as your happy

I'm sure it will all look fine hun.

A lot of scottish weddings have kilts that don't match the colour scheme, as it is more about wearing your clans tartan, than just any old one.

I had a silver dress too, my hubby wore a Grey spirt kilt. He would have had his own tartan, but he couldn't hire it here, so went for one not belonging to any clan instead.
