ok so we were originally gonna book the date for june next year but we decided on October due to how much we'd have to save etc..

I really wanted a daisy/flower/nature theme...with sage green, yellow, light pink and ivory as the colours..but now im not sure they would suit the time of year... blink.gif

any advice?

I'm getting married in Oct 2011 and we're just having an autumn theme - cream, gold, chocolate brown and orange, naming the tables after either trees or areas of woodland near where we live. Going to bake my own favours - leaf-shaped biscuits - and might have a "message tree" instead of a guest book or something along those lines :-) x

"rusty" colours would look lovely in autumn, but go for any colours you love!

I say ** the month...have whatever your heart is telling you!!
Knowing our unpredictable weather it could just as likely be blazing sunshine in October!
Good luck xx

Hi,

Your idea is good its looking beautiful. You can also try the white and purple color flower and curtains and some lights. That's looking good.

Regards,
Olivia

I think your colour choices sound perfect for October. Orange is often an obvious choice for October what with Halloween, but how cool would cut out pumpkins look as centrepieces?! Anyway, I got a bit side tracked there!

Another great colour for Autumn weddings is deep purple, which would make a great contrast with your sage green, and wouldn't mean you'd necessarily have to lose any of the colours you've already mentioned.

Am liking the biscuit favours idea too!

I say go with your gut feeling for colours too! More often than not October ends up being a very mild month so you could go for autumn colours and find its 60-70 degs outside and you'll wish you opted for your original theme.

Good luck

You could still have a Daisy theme using Oranges & Browns and have gerberas. Have a look through here for some ideas:
