Hiya

I have gone round and round in circles with my themes and I think I have finally decided on a woodland theme with a subtle fairy input running through.

I am having a marquee reception and was thinking of having ivy and fairy lights wrapped round the poles and poss the guy ropes! thinking of having some sort of table center with old wood and moss and poss more fairy lights (not allowed candels humph!)

SO H2B wants to wear baby blue linen suit (not sure if this will fit) think I have found a bridesmaid dress colour

http://www.alfredang...C...1741f2&pg=0

poss this dress in Celedon not sure about the sash!

so what do you think??? I cant really picture all the colours in my head at the moment ( i need to talk to my mother as she is good with things like this)

any ideas on what flowers I could have or where i might be able to get small subtle fairys from??

thanks for reading my rambly post

Sounds wonderful! I think H2B's suit in baby blue could work if you went with that, the Celadon for the bridesmaid's dress and perhaps added some pink (could use pink for the sashes).

I'm not sure whether they're in season but blue hydraengas could work, particularly if H2B has his blue suit.

Fantastic!

Not sure on what you want for table names, if you want table names at all, but i had woodlands as my table names. There are some really wild and wacky names which could add to your theme.

My tables were called:

Bishops Knoll
The Punchbowl
Wantley Dragon
Coffee Pot
Butterdean
Lady Mabel's
Pepperboxes
Boggle Top

All in different parts of the UK and ones which we hope to visit.

You could find some here

Hope this helps x

I didn't have a woodland theme - wish i had done! I had a dark green colour theme with pink accents (flowers). I wanted to name my tables, but couldn't come up with anything original. I had considered the usual flower names, tree names, movie titles etc. I wanted something short and a little obscure. People asked what the names were with reference to. I did use them carefully tho, for instance, the woodland from Yorkshire (Wantley Dragon) was the name of the table that my Grandma, and hubby's Grandma was on as they are from Yorkshire, Scottish woodland butterdean had scottish family on it and our top table was called Bishops Knoll (Bristol as we met in Bristol!)

You could go all out. You could have a green and brown colour scheme, buttonholes,, Bouquet, and have lots of twigs put into floral displays, you could have little trees as centre pieces, pine cone place name holders, themed cake cake Another cake!
I found some woodland trust charity badges (in Dorothy Perkins) just after my wedding - i thought that would have been a good idea to tie in woodlands a little bit more - but thats the beauty of hindsight!

Its been fun researching your theme!

Good luck - i bet it'll look wonderful xx

wow thanks MrsC lots of ideas

I have seen some flowers i like they included bits of twisted willow in them and were mainly green and white they were lovely - I have an appointment with the florist next week so hopefully will get more ideas.

I just need to find some accencted fairies and try and design my invites - I want a vine in the corner with a fairy sat on one of the branches ( I would draw it my self but cant draw for toffee!)

so now just for the collecting of acorns, chestnuts, conkers etc and planting and trying to gather my collection of jam jars (for candles out side lining the path up to the marquee then I think there will be 2 trees with fairy lights in either side of the entrance!)

oh i am still so stupidly excited!!!

Sounds absolutly beautiful! what about baby's breath for flowers? I realise that it's usually a filler in bouquets but I can imagine fairies dancing on the flowers as you walk down the aisle, and they are so small they'll look like a puff of white air. That's my two bobs anyway...

Hydraengas would be available for then. plus you can get fairy doors so you could dot them round and go for mother nature bits . like green man plaques.

I found loads on ebay!

I have ivy fake but it looks great. My wedding theme is woodland and pumpkins as table decs. i am not really having any flowers though as i am so alergic to them. only flowers are the bouquets and pedestels.

You can get toad stool lights from www.giftsdotcom.co.uk i think it is i'll check they are little battery toadstools night lights but still good.

Oh oh and heather tied up x

Kearpy I have PM'd you.

I think I will have purple in my flowers and possibly yellow as well, well def purple (probably in thistles) and not sure about the yellow.

Like the idea of fairy doors, cant believe I haven't thought about that - I have a plaque in the garden saying "do not step on the fairies"

misspumpkinhead - wow just over a week to go - bet you are so excited I would love to see some photos if you get chance

I'm so glad I saw this thread! I'm new to this forum, but had to reply because I'm having the same theme! Have been calling it Enchanted Garden too. How exciting. Have found quite a lot of good stuff on ebay. Also found some really inspirational pictures by typing randoms words into Google Images.

Will keep you posted if I find any good websites.

Planning is going surprisingly well at the moment. Still got quite a way to go so really enjoying it, sure it will get more stressful as the wedding gets closer though.

How's yours going? What 'must haves' have you found for your theme so far?

i dont really have any must haves at the moment- am going to get some fairy lights when the christmas stuff comes out! might buy some small mirror tiles (ebay) and glue them onto things to add some sparkle.

i have just got a bunch of flowers to see if the colours will go - i may well have some yellow roses or gerbers.

am avidaly collecting jam/sauce jars!

Fairy lights are a must! I'd also like lots of glittery things. Have seen a gorgeous tiara and jewellery set tonight that I think I may have to get.

Hi ladies!

I bought a wedding dress! It's perfect for our Enchanted Garden theme, it's pink and green which will be our main colours and I love it! It's in my planning pics.

Hi, why not name your tables after famous fairies/fairy related locations, i.e. Tinkerbell or Fairy Bridge in the Isle of Man (it's a small bridge and it's traditional to say 'Hello Fairies' whenever your drive over it.
