We get a lot of May/June summer weddings requesting shades of greens with pink - from apple &fuchsia to lovely sages & dusky paler pinks.
Also pinks and chocolate brown.
Hot pinks and aqua and white.

Bright and bold colours can look wonderful for an early summer wedding - we've seen more unusual combinations this year such as choc and lime, turquoise and red, citrus colours eg yellow and oranges, teal & turquoise. Aubergine and dusky pink. Also yellow with dark charcoal grey can look amazing and chic.

I think springlike colours will work too, so pinks, greens, yellows......

I would say for a May Wedding you could get away with any colours you fancy from really bright brights down to the more muted pastels or even black and white. All will look stunning!

We are getting married in June and are having Sage Green with Touches of Pink/Dusky Pink.

Sage Green seems to be a very popular choice.

The possibilities are endless:

Blue - sky/pale/baby/cornflower
Green - pale/sage/dark
Yellow
Pink - Pale/Baby/Dark/Dusky
Ivory and Gold/White and Silver - Traditional

If you really wanted to stand out you could go for Hot Pink/Orange/Red - Meddeterian(sp) theme

xx

We're getting married in May and have decided on purple and silver. I agree with Iwantapoem, I reckon you could get away with any colours given the time of year!

I think you can get away with most colours apart from Red/gold as these are really wintery xx

Our colours are olive green, ivory and black. My dress is ivory and the bridesmaids will be in black except for our flower girl who will be in ivory also. We will have lots of olive green touches around the day biggrin.gif

This thread has been really helpful! I hadn't even thought about a scheme until my aunt mentioned she was having trouble coming up with hers. I'm getting married in a woodland in May and now think I'll find a nice shade of green and pink with gold accents. Lovely!

I had decided on brown (as its his fav colour) and pink cos it looks nice together, with touches of cream...

Then I bought my dress.....

And it is burgundy blink.gif

Whoops, back to the drawing board. So it looks like its going to be burgundy, gold and ivory. I'm a little worried about the winter colours in Spring. I wanted to be different and thats what it will be.... laugh.gif
