I make them for my daughters friends and always add a key and little note.

Also my mum makes these
http://s705.photobuc...nt=HPIM2968.jpg she can make them in any wording you like. Might be something you can use at your reception x

Also you could have some little cut outs of fairies hidden around the room in the style of the Cottingley faries.
I've seen Bijou Woo have some beautiful Forest Faries invitations too http://www.bijouwoo....forest_day.html
Maybe you could incorporate something from A Midsummer's Night Dream into the theme - what about the prose "I know a bank . . . . " set as calligraphy which your guests can sign around the edge and then have framed to keep.

this is what we are doing. Will be selling the wooden leaf stencils after the wedding as well if you are interested as we will be maing the cards ourselves.
What about these fairy doors? here. Look into fairyfolklore see what you can see there.
Fairies can be associated with rocks too....not sure how to beautiful a rock for a table setting but it would definately fit 'quirky' lol

My mum makes these beautiful signs, which you could maybe dot about the reception? Also she makes lovely collectable type fairys/dolls. You could have one made that looks like you in your wedding dress as a reminder of the big day (shes gonna make me one i hope). let me know if you want any pics (love your theme btw and your dress sounds delish)! x

Hi,
This may be a bit of a mad one, but could you possibly use flowers fairies (the ones they brought out in the 80's)........ I don't even know if they still made them anymore. You may be able to get hold of them on ebay.
You could possibly place them into a goldfish bowl along with moss, stones etc to create a bottom of the garden effect. Counrty Baskets in Astley could be a good place to visit but you do have to have a membership card.
I'm getting married in July at Kilhey Court and have chosen 'Over the Rainbow' as my theme. To be perfectly honest I really did struggle at the beginning to come up with ideas. Once I got started though I couldn't stop and have gone a bit mad lol!!! I've bought so much stuff off the net and the majority of it has come from America. Check the postage out though as it varies greatly from site to site.
Good luck darl.

Sounds so fairytale, you must be having fun organising.
I have something on my site which you may find helpful. I make wedding favours and have designed a Favour Cake, made up of small cake slices with angel fairies on top. The fairies can be used to decorate other shapes of individual boxes aswell or if you go with the flowerpot idea or something like that for the table centres, I can sell you the fairies on their own.
Please feel free to take a look and contact me if you wish to discuss anything further.
Happy organising (and enjoy every minute!)

I have some great personalised stickers and cards featuring fairies. It's a new range from Weddingstar call "Fairytale Charm" featuring all sorts of bits and bobs including some cute diecut fairy stickers. Have a look here - there are also more on the previous page - page 36.
